ICT Halloween
Saltersgate School classes have been looking forward to Halloween in ICT. Here are some of the games pupils have enjoyed playing. Some online games can be inappropriate for in school and we have been discussing how to keep ourselves safe.

Today the S2/3O and Aqua class were creating a Star Wars game on CODE. Click the link below to play one of the games made by a pupil.

Clare Balding and Lucy Lunt came to ramble with the Saltersgate Ramblers for her BBC Radio 4 Programme “Ramblings” along East Lothian’s gorgeous beaches with views over the Firth of Forth and beyond to the Kingdon Of Fife. We all had great fun. Many thanks to Derek Christie for the film.
Saltersgate Circus Animation
As part of the Corn exchange community engagement project, pupils from Saltersgate school have been developing an exciting piece of work in response to the story of the escaped monkeys from the Zoo circus in 1933 in Ironmills Park.
Using newspaper articles as a starting point, the pupils have been creating drawings and images to illustrate the story and have created a short piece of animation.
CODE
Some of the ICT classes in secondary have been working through the Hour of Code which is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries. Anyone, anywhere can organise an Hour of Code event or try any of the over 200+ one-hour tutorials, available in over 45 languages.
Below is a link to a game a pupil has programmed themselves using CODE. Please feel free to have a go.
