The school is proud of the incredible amount of extra-curricular activity that it offers pupils during the academic year. “Learning beyond the classroom” is a vital part of the School‟s “Curriculum for Excellence”. I ask that all parents/carers encourage their children to become involved in the sporting, musical, cultural and academic programmes on offer from our highly committed and professional staff.
The school has a range of lunch time clubs, including swimming, team games, girls club, jewellery making, bike club, etc. These are in place because school transport limits the opportunity for end of day activities to take place.
There is an after-school club on a Thursday, funded by the school charity, Friends of Saltersgate School, which provides small blocks of time for learners to participate in a range of social activities.
Some activities currently available cannot be guaranteed in future years, since the pattern of activities depends on the changing expertise and interests of staff and pupils.
